THANKS! Great First Night in Auburn Hills!
Thank You to Everyone Who Contributed to the Success of Our First Casual Euchre Event at The Hub in Auburn Hills! We aimed for at least 20 players and achieved that goal. Starting an event at a new location is challenging and requires many elements to align.
Firstly, finding the right venue is crucial. Special thanks to Pam for recommending The Hub, which proved to be an excellent choice. This spacious entertainment venue efficiently managed guest check-ins and guided them to our designated area, which had ample space and potential for expansion. Custom signage with our group's name adorned the tables, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. The Hub also offered a special menu with delicious, reasonably priced items, and the servers were friendly and attentive. Despite a bit of loudness from the music due to a large party, it contributed to a vibrant club-like ambience. The Hub was bustling with various activities including Football Bowlers and Axe Throwers.
Attracting attendees is always a hurdle, but our loyal long-time members from Milford and Berkley locations played a key role. We chose this new location to accommodate members who previously faced long commutes. Indeed, several members we hadn't seen in a while joined us, and we hope to see them more frequently. We also welcomed newcomers, including Anna and Heather from MeetUp, as well as Jimmy's family members from nearby Lake Orion.
This inaugural event was particularly impressive given the holiday week, which kept many regulars busy. We anticipate a larger turnout in the coming weeks, especially considering the bar's lively nature, which may attract a younger crowd.
