Darby Connections
Darby Connections is all about making and keeping good friends. Our favorite way to help you meet new people is through the card game Euchre. We do our best to match you with people you'll click with. But friendship is more than just one game night! We also organize fun activities like pickleball, kayaking, concerts, nights out, and house parties. Join us, have fun, and grow your circle of friends!

Euchre
We’ve found that Euchre is one of the best ways to meet new people. Popular throughout the Midwest, it’s played with two teams of two and offers the perfect mix of easy-to-learn rules and strategic depth. The game naturally gets people talking, both during and after each hand. At our events, you’ll play with three others for about 20 minutes, then rotate to a new group, making it easy to meet and connect with many people in one evening. If you’re new to the game, we’ll be happy to teach you, or you can watch our “How to Play Euchre” video series.

Teams & Scores
It’s surprising how complex something as simple as assigning seats and collecting scores can be. In Euchre, we want you to sit with different people each round while prioritizing those you’ve marked as favorites. For Pickleball and similar events, we also balance skill levels so matches stay fair and enjoyable. To manage this, we built Teams & Scores, software that automatically assigns players, records scores, and gathers feedback on fellow participants. You don’t need to install an app—just use text messages to check in, receive your assignments, and submit your scores. The system is fully automated to keep every event running smoothly.
Pickleball
Euchre is a great way to meet people, but we believe it’s important for members to do more than just play Euchre to get the most out of Darby Connections. Like much of America, many of our members have gotten hooked on Pickleball—it’s not as social as Euchre, but it’s a lot of fun. We also enjoy other activities like bowling, golf, and various card games. Our Teams & Scores software was designed to be flexible enough to manage all of them.
Much More
It’s not all about competition—sometimes you just want to spend time with friends. We focus on building strong social circles where people genuinely enjoy seeing each other. Beyond games and tournaments, we organize house parties, concerts, trips, bar nights, and hikes. Everyone is welcome at our public events, but many members also form smaller groups and host their own private gatherings. The key is to get involved—join our events, meet new people, and build your own circle of friends. Check out our gallery to see some of our past events.
