We Do Pickleball Too — Just Differently
Euchre is our main way of helping people meet, but real friendships are built by doing more together. That’s why we also run Pickleball every Saturday at the Livonia Athletic District.
It’s peak indoor Pickleball season, and demand is high. Last week, all 24 spots sold out the first day tickets were released. If you want to play, be sure to sign up as soon as registration opens. We are actively working to add additional locations.
What makes our Pickleball different?
- All skill levels welcome. Beginners through advanced players all play at the same time. Even if you and your partner have very different skill levels, you can still attend together.
- Smart pairing and rotation. We use the same Teams & Scores system many of you know from Euchre. The system pairs you with players near your skill level while constantly mixing teams so you’re not stuck with the same partners all day.
- Simple participation. Once you arrive (Pickleball has a fee), just text “P” for Participate to our number and the system assigns you to play.
- No phone needed on court. A monitor displays court assignments and positions, so you don’t have to carry your phone.
- Easy score reporting. Scores are submitted by text, just like Euchre.
- Dynamic skill ratings. Wins and losses are tracked to automatically adjust skill levels, helping ensure consistently good competition.
- New to Pickleball? We also offer lessons on the same day.
We are currently looking for additional venues that could benefit from this system so we can accommodate more players. If you have an “in” at a facility, please let us know. This is a busy season, and good availability with fair terms is hard to find.
