There is a lot of glass and garbage in the swimming hole where we have River Day. Some local kids swim there regularly with masks, so we made a deal with them: we'll pay them for every piece of garbage they bring out! We're paying them pretty well to keep them excited and motivated.
Turns out that there is a lot of garbage down there and it cost us a small fortune. If you'd like to chip in and help support the cleanup, you can do so here. Hopefully it plants the seeds of business in the kids minds too.
