Great Evening at the Huron Valley Promise Fundraiser!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the Huron Valley Promise Euchre Fundraiser such a fun and successful event! The energy in the room was fantastic, and it was great to see so many people enjoying a night of Euchre while supporting a great cause.
The tournament brought together 88 players, including about 35 from the Darby Connections community. It was clear that everyone had a great time, and hopefully some new friendships were formed along the way. You can view photos from the event on the Event page at HVPEuchre.com, and you’re welcome to add your own photos as well.
If you met someone you’d like to connect with, there’s a discreet way to do so. From the event page, select Guest List from the dropdown menu in the upper right and click the “R” next to their name. You can choose to share your email or phone number. You can also indicate interest in friendship or romance. This information stays private unless both people select the same option. You can also privately rate players. While rating may sound a little awkward, it helps our system create better seating assignments. At larger events like this, you only play with about 20 people, and our logic balances playing with people you enjoyed while still meeting new ones. If you’re having trouble remembering names, select Rounds from the dropdown menu to see all seat assignments and who you sat with. The event photos showing people at their tables can also help jog your memory.
Darby Connections hosts weekly events—primarily Euchre and Pickleball—along with special events like hiking, concerts, bar nights, house parties, and trips. If you’re looking to build your social circle, we’d love to have you join us. We’re always open to new ideas, so if there’s an activity you’d like to organize, just let us know.
Special thanks to Janet Roberts for inviting Darby Connections to assist with the event. Organizing a tournament of this size takes a lot of work, and we were happy to help by providing an established system for ticket sales, player registration, attendee communication, and our Teams & Scores program for seat assignments and score tracking. Our large community of Euchre players also helped make it easier to fill the banquet hall.
