Thank you everyone that came out for Gate Keeper Games last Casual Euchre. We had over 40 Players! It was like a class reunion and a very special night. Details are not finalized about what is going to happen to the store. The owner, Mr. Tim, is selling it but a deal has not been finalized yet. Many are hoping that it would be a similar business and that we would end up back there. Unfortunately, we need to move on for now.
 

 Oak Park Social is officially becoming our new Berkley-area home, replacing Gate Keeper Games. It’s just one mile south on Eleven Mile Road in the Oak Park's Water Tower Social District, and many of our Berkley regulars already know it well from our After Euchre gatherings. Change can feel a little uncertain at first, and there will naturally be an adjustment period, so these first few weeks are especially important. Please come out, help us make a strong first impression, share any helpful feedback, and be patient and kind with the staff as they get familiar with our group.

Since Oak Park Social is a full-service restaurant like most of our other locations, we’ll be following the same general model as our other Euchre nights—with one big upgrade: we now have a Weekly Winner Gift Card Prize plus an additional Monthly Winner Prize!

Supporting the restaurant is absolutely essential. One of the biggest challenges for Gate Keeper was profitability. Restaurants have a better chance to thrive because food and drinks create a stronger business model, but that only works if we actively support them. Please make this your night to enjoy dinner out.

For extra incentive, anyone who purchases dinner at the restaurant will receive a Bonus 10-Point Round. We’re flexible on what qualifies as “dinner”—solid or liquid—but your purchase should at least reflect the value of the prizes being provided.

If we want Oak Park Social to become another thriving long-term Darby Connections home, showing up and supporting the venue from day one will make all the difference.
